Project Description

The rehabilitation of Emurotu Road, Ughelli, in Ughelli North Local Government Area, by Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, is aimed at improving the condition and functionality of the road to enhance transportation and accessibility within the community. The road involves 1,096m length, 1,396m length of drain, 7.3m average pavement width. The scope of work for the road includes: scarification and removal of unsuitable materials, earthworks and filling, provision of a crushed-stone base, concrete works, including longitudinal and access slabs, pavement surfacing using Hot Rolled Asphalt (HRA) binder and wearing courses and application of thermoplastic road markings.
The project will improve road quality and safety, facilitate the movement of residents and goods, reduce travel difficulties and transportation costs, improve access to businesses and essential services, support local economic activities, and contribute to sustainable infrastructure development in Ughelli North Local Government Area.
