Project Description

The rehabilitation and reconstruction of the 4.5km section of Asaba/Ugbolu Road (Phase II) in Oshimili North Local Government Area, by Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, is aimed at improving road infrastructure and connectivity between Asaba and Ugbolu. The scope of work for the project includes clearing of site, scarification of failed bituminous surface, removal of topsoil and unsuitable materials, earth fill, crushed stone base, regulation of potholes and pavement surfacing consisting of binder course on the section for reconstruction/shoulders and wearing course on the entire carriageway of the 4.5km length road.
The project will improve the condition and durability of the road, facilitate the movement of people and agricultural produce, reduce travel time and transportation costs, improve access to markets and essential services, enhance road safety, support economic activities, and contribute to sustainable development in Oshimili North Local Government Area.
