RECONSTRUCTION OF ASAGBA PALACE ROAD, OFF NNEBISI ROAD BY UBA ASABA, OSHIMILI SOUTH LOCA GOVERNMENT AREA (PHASE II)

The reconstruction of Asagba Palace Road, off Nnebisi Road by UBA in Asaba, Oshimili South Local Government Area, under the administration of Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, is aimed at improving road infrastructure and enhancing accessibility within the area. The project involves 600m total length of road, 6m average pavement width, 630m length of drain and 60m thick culvert. The scope of works for the road includes earthworks comprising of scarification of failed asphalt, removal of topsoil and unsuitable materials, filling with suitable lateritic material, concrete works including drains, culverts, kerbs and slab; pavement works including crushed stone base and two layers of HRA binder and wearing course, inclusive of thermoplastic road markings.

The project will improve connectivity to residential, commercial, and traditional institutions within the area, reduce traffic challenges, and enhance road safety. It will also support economic activities, improve environmental sanitation through proper drainage systems, and contribute to the socio-economic development of the communities in Oshimili South Local Government Area.
