Project Description

The Construction of Internal Roads and External Work at Udu Harbour Market, Udu, in Udu Local Government Area, by the Governor of Delta State, His Excellency Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, in this and beyond, is aimed at improving transportation and overall infrastructure within the market environment. The scope of work for the 765m length of road, 5,600m2 total area and 500m length of drain includes; site clearance, removal of unsuitable materials and earth filling with river sharp sand and stone base, concrete work; demolition of existing undersized drains, construction of concrete drains, culverts and slabs, pavement surfacing.

This intervention is expected to promote commercial activities, improve movement of goods and services, and create a safer and more conducive environment for business operations within the market. It also contributes to sustainable infrastructural development, economic growth, and improved urban connectivity within the community and beyond.
