Project Description

The project involves the rehabilitation and asphalt overlay of the Olomoro–Igbide Road to restore it to a durable and motorable condition. The scope of work for the 5,745 metres length of road includes site clearance, scarification of failed asphalt, earthworks on high embankment, sand/cement stabilization, stone base; concrete works comprising of construction of drains and various sizes of cuverts and pavement surfacing involving two (2) layers of Hot Rolled Asphalt, HRA (binder for the failed and scarified 4.725km section and wearing course for the entire 5,745m).

The project is expected to enhance transportation within and between the affected communities, reduce travel time, and improve safety for road users. It will also facilitate the movement of agricultural produce, goods, and services, thereby boosting local economic activities. Additionally, the project will contribute to sustainable infrastructural development and improve the overall quality of life for residents in Isoko South Local Government Area.
