Project Description

The rehabilitation and reconstruction of failed portions of major roads in Asaba and its environs, under the administration of Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, is aimed at restoring the structural integrity and usability of critical road networks within the state capital. The failed sections comprise 312ms2 of pot holes; 7,382m2 of failed asphalt and 100m2 for overlay. The scope of works for the 7,794m2 area of failed portions includes earthworks comprising of removal of unsuitable materials, scarification of failed surfaces, sharp sand fill, regulation of holes, pavement works comprising of well graded crushed stone base course and two layers HRA.

This intervention will significantly improve traffic flow and enhance movement for commuters. It will also facilitate the movement of goods and services, support business activities, and contribute to the overall socio-economic development of Asaba and surrounding areas, while creating a more accessible and sustainable urban environment.
