Project Description

The construction of Okoye Street and Chief Iyke Street in Onu Quarter, Aboh, Ndokwa West Local Government Area, under the administration of Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, is aimed at improving the road network and accessibility within the community. The road includes: 650m length, 10m clearance width, 6.5m pavement width, 400m length of drain. The scope of work for the road includes site clearance, earthworks involving removal of topsoil, unsuitable materials, earthfill with sharp sand and crushed stone base; concrete works comprising desilting of drains, construction of drains, culverts, kerbs and slabs. Also, there is pavement surfacing comprising two layers of asphalt and thermoplastic road markings.

This intervention will enhance transportation, reduce travel difficulties, and improve connectivity within the area. It will also facilitate the movement of people and goods, encourage commercial activities, and contribute to the socio-economic development of Onu Quarter and surrounding communities.
