Project Description

The rehabilitation of Egbokodo-Itsekiri Road and asphalt overlay of Swiss Cottage Road in Warri South Local Government Area, by Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, is aimed at improving the quality, safety, and functionality of the road network in the area. The project involves 2,765m length and 8m average pavement width. The scope of works for the project includes; scarification of failed asphalt and shoulders, laying sharp river sand, demolition of failed concrete drains, construction of concrete drains, desiltation of drains, construction of discharge drains, concrete pipe culvert, concrete slabs, concrete rataining walls crushed stone base, pavement surfacing with HRA (binder and wearing courses) with thermoplastic road markings.
The project will improve road conditions, enhance vehicular and pedestrian movement, reduce travel difficulties and transportation costs, improve access to homes, businesses and essential services, support commercial activities, enhance road safety, and contribute to sustainable infrastructure development in Warri South Local Government Area.
