CONSTRUCTION/REHABILITATION OF OGBOBAGBENE INTERNAL ROADS, BURUTU LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA

The construction and rehabilitation of Ogbobagbene Internal Roads in Burutu Local Government Area, by Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, is aimed at improving road infrastructure, accessibility, and connectivity within the community. The total length of the road includes 2.00 km, 6.5m pavement width, 10.0m clearance width, 2000m length of drain. The scope of work for the 2,000m length of road includes site clearance, scarification of dilapidated concrete pavement, demolition of undersized culverts, removal of topsoil and unsuitable materials, sharp sand filling; concrete works involving construction of various sizes of culverts, drains, access slabs; pavement surfacing comprising 150mm crushed stone base followed by 150mm thick reinforced concrete pavement.
The project will improve the condition and durability of internal roads, facilitate the movement of residents and goods, enhance access to homes, businesses and essential services, reduce transportation difficulties, improve road safety, support local economic and social activities, and contribute to sustainable community development in Burutu Local Government Area.
