The construction of a Fishery Unit at Southern Delta University, Orerokpe Campus, by Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, is aimed at providing a dedicated facility for practical teaching, research, training, and skills development in fisheries and related disciplines. The project will support hands-on learning, improve students' practical competencies, strengthen the university's capacity for fisheries education and research, promote aquaculture and related entrepreneurial opportunities, and contribute to human capital development, employment creation, and sustainable economic development in Delta State.
